Chopin's Life and Work - Second Annual Atlanta Youth Competition

On April 23, 2005, the Chopin Society of Atlanta conducted its Second Annual Competition, “Chopin’s Life and Work,” for Atlanta youth. Students between the ages of 7 to 15, divided into three different groups, were required to recognize Chopin’s music, answer test questions about Chopin’s work and life, and write an essay. The questions were prepared by Maria Archetto, Professor of Music at Oxford College of Emory University.

Awards were given as follows: First Prize, $150 (all groups); Second Prize, $50 (all groups).
