Chopin's Life and Music Fifth Annual Atlanta Youth Chopin Competition


The Chopin Society of Atlanta will hold its Fifth Annual Atlanta Youth Chopin Competition, dedicated to Chopin's life and music.


Written competition:


Essay on the life and work of Frederick Chopin”. The work may be written in the form of an essay or short story not exceeding 4 standard typewritten pages of ca. 200 words per page.


Works may be submitted by post to the Chopin Society of Atlanta, by November 22, 2008


Besides our awards, all winner works will be submitted to the International Competition for en essay about Chopin’s Life and work announced by the International Frederic Chopin Societies in Warsaw, where an international jury will select the best three works which then will be published in "Chopin in the World" (Quarterly Bulletin of International F. Chopin Societies).

Written Competition

First Prize Winner: $100

Second Prize Winner: $75

Third Prize Winner: $50

Honorable mention: 2x $25
